Abdul is a talented young seamer from Kushtia in Bangladesh’s West. A right-handed lower order batsman, he isn’t renowned for his prowess with the bat, however, his seam bowling has continued to improve as he gets more and more opportunity at the top level of the Bangladeshi domestic system.

A junior star, Abdul represented Bangladesh at U17 and U19 level and was a member of the 2016 ICC U19 World Cup squad that was hosted on home turf. Abdul had already played a handful of First Class/List A games at that stage, with limited success but he has continued to chase a regular place in the domestic professional system.

Abdul’s hard work and persistence has started to bare fruit with increasingly improving performances in both red & white ball cricket. In summer 2017-18, representing Khelaghar in 50-over cricket, he picked up 5 wickets in 3 matches with a best of 4-10 against Abahani Limited reducing them from 1-100 to 5-117.

He started summer 2019-20 with a bang in red ball cricket, picking up 10 wickets in the first 4 games of the FC season. Looking to keep his improvements heading in the right direction, Abdul now seeks to head to the UK for the First time as a club professional and will be a great pick up looking for a strike seamer for 2022.
