Adil Butt

Adil Butt is an experienced seam-bowling all-rounder from from Pakistan originally but now based in Manzini, Eswatini. A tidy right-arm Medium pacer, Adil is a brutal top order right-hander that debuted for the Eswatini national team in late 2022. He took over as the national team captain in mid-2023.

Originally from Pakistan, Adil relocated to Eswatini in 2019, joining PAK XI Cricket Club who play in a variety of different local competitions but most of the cricket played through the country is the T20 format, which suits Adil’s style of play perfectly.

With no great pace to speak of, Adil relies on control and guile to keep the damage done in the powerplay to an absolute minimum and has done so quite effectively for the national team and of course, at club level. It is his attacking top-order play that has the biggest impact for the national side, with a strike rate of 140+ helping to set the national side up for a number of wins and invariably when he comes off, the result has gone or almost gone the right way for Eswatini.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2025, Adil will be a handy pick up for any UK club seeking an experienced top order batsman that can roll the arm over this summer.
