Adi is a high-quality, left-handed top-order batsmen and part-time slow left-arm orthodox bowler that has led an adventurous cricketing life. Originally from Auckland, Adi has played cricket in both the UK, NZ & Australia, he is currently in his native Auckland, representing Cornwall CC in the best league in NZ. Adi is a product of the renowned Mount Albert Grammar School (MAGS) in Auckland, famous for producing a number of All Black rugby players and one of the country’s finest schools. Adi first represented the school’s 1st XI at the age of 14. He represented the Auckland Schools team throughout his final three years of school, a great reward for his prolific top order batting.

A natural leader and having captained his school from a young age, he led MAGS to its first ever win in the Gillette Cup National Schools Tournament in 2013, which had never been achieved in the history of Mount Albert Grammar School’s Cricket. His excellent performances saw him awarded the Gillette Cup Player of the Year, an honour extended to current and former Black Cap stars, Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson.

Adi spent time in Australia, playing Grade Cricket for the Northern Suburbs Jets in 2017-18, opening the batting with another WSX client, Gun ex-County Pro, Joe Gatting. Adi was a solid contributor, scoring 316 runs @ 26.33. Adi also spent the 2016 winter in Australia also, joining Waratah CC in the Northern Territory’s Cricket league, getting off to a flyer, with an outstanding 108* (82). Having Scored 550 runs @ 45.83 runs, he was selected in the league XI to play against a touring Kenya side, scoring 62 & 60 in the two tour matches.

Adi joined Worcester CC for their Worcestershire County League Premier Division campaign. In his first UK summer, Adi scored 619 runs @ 38.69 and picked up 19 wickets @ 28.79. The club finished mid-table but Adi was excellent around the club as well as on the pitch and left a popular clubman.

Seeking his second Northern Hemsiphere summer in 2021, Adi will be a great pick up for a club seeking a quality top order batsman that can bowl capable left-arm orthodox this summer.
