Aiden Bariol

Aiden Bariol is an excellent young talent, originally from Sydney but now based in Tasmania. An outstanding Gloveman and one of the best young Wicketkeeping prospects in Australia, he is also a high quality Right-handed Batsman. Suited to the Top 4 and 2nd drop is his preferred slot, he has also proven to be a very capable opener in T20 Cricket.

Originally from Sydney, he played First Grade in the NSW Premier Cricket competition for Manly-Warringah, Sutherland and UTS North Sydney before relocating to Tasmania, where he joined North Hobart CC in the CTAS Premier Cricket competition. The move was motivated by an opportunity to press a case for the Tigers through their Futures League side.

It all started at Manly-Warringah DCC, where he was graded at just 13 and represented the club in the AW Green Shield at the same age, making him one of the youngest players to do so. He was earmarked from a young age and was selected for the New South Wales U15, U17 & U19 sides as well as the Australian U16 team which hosted Pakistan. Aiden was also a member of the Sydney Sixers
Academy.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, Aiden joined promotion hopeful’s, Camberley CC, in the Surrey Championship. He was outstanding, scoring 1002 runs for the club and helping them secure not only promotion but also the title.

Aiden is not just a high quality cricketer but also an exceptional coach with a real enthusiasm for teaching and holding a Cricket Australia Level Two coaching qualification (ECB Level 3 equivalent). A keen golfer and very focused on his fitness, Aiden brings good habits and work ethic with him for next summer. Aiden is also studying to become an Accountant.
