Akash Senarathna

Akash is a talented spin bowling allrounder currently playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka for the powerful Sinhalese Sports club which features team mates like Dasun Shanaka, Sachritra Senanayake and Dhammika Prasad.

Having started his first class career at Badureliya Sports club impressive displays saw the bigger sides knocking and was invited to join Sinhalese sports from the 2018-2019 season where in a team full of Sri Lankan internationals still managed 367 runs and 31 wickets and then this season before the season was halted 213 runs and 21 wickets.

He made his first venture overseas in 2019 and played for Morley CC in the strong Bradford league where bowling wise he finished with 48 league wickets at just 12.67. With the bat with it being his first time over took time to adjust but did score a lovely mid season hundred. He then returned to play for Blackrod CC for the 2021 season scoring 484 runs at 30.25 and took 58 wickets at 14.74 with a best of 8-35 against Kearsley CC. He is looking to return to the UK for the 2023 season and would be a great all round option.
