Alvin Chiradza is a talented wicketkeeper/Batsman from Harare. A patient right-handed middle-order batsman, he is also a tidy wicketkeeper with a safe pair of hands. Currently representing the Rocks Franchise in the Logan Cup 4-day Provincial competition, he’s converted his “player of promise” tag to a “star on the rise” off the back of a breakthrough 2023-24 summer.

A recognised junior talent, Alvin represented Zimbabwe from U13 through the Under 19 side in 2016 and was picked for the Zimbabwe Colts side to contest the CSA Franshise Cubs week in 2017. Alvin has also been selected for the Zimbabwe Emerging players to play against the South Africa emerging players in 2023.

Summer 2023-24 saw Alvin come of age in red-ball cricket, scoring his maiden first class hundred, against the Rhinos in January 2024 and in total, his 283 runs @ 70.75 showed promising signs of more good stuff to come for the young man.

Seeking his first summer in the UK in 2025, Alvin will be a good pick up for any club seeking a promising WK/Batsman that is keen to keep his rich vein of form going in the off-season.
