Andile is a highly-rated young talent from Durban in South Africa. A gifted right-hander with a wide array of attacking strokes, he is also a genuine Fast/Medium seamer with good control and a real wicket-taking ability. A promising junior, Andile was a Kwa-Zulu Natal provincial representative in his late teens and pushed on to the Dolphins Academy/Cubs squad in summer 2016-17. By mid-2017, he was a regular feature for the South African U19 side and was selected in the ICC 2018 U19 World Cup squad played in New Zealand.

Before the World Cup, Andile would make both white-ball format debut’s. He made his Twenty20 debut for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2017 Africa T20 Cup in the September and made his List A debut for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge in the October. His red-ball debut was not until March 2019 against Northern Cape in the penultimate game of the 2018-19 summer.

An intelligent young man, Andile has been completing a Sports-related degree at Northwood University whilst juggling his cricket career. His explosive style has suited the shorter formats to date and so impressed with his ability, his home franchise, the Durban-based Dolphins offered him his first full time professional contract from summer 2020-21.

With his studies interrupted due to COVID, Andile now switches his main focus towards full-time cricket but will continue to study part-time/remotely in 2021 in an effort to complete his degree. This won’t stop this talented young man from heading North for the winter, however. Seeking his first season in the UK/EU in 2022, Andile will be a top pick up for any club seeking a genuine and exciting all-round talent for the summer.
