Anesu Kamuriwo is a highly-rated young fast bowler from Mutare, Zimbabwe. A right-handed lower order batsman that hasn’t given the scorers too much to do over the years with bat in hand, his seam bowling is the complete opposite having really kicked on over the 2024-25 season. A right-arm seamer, Anesu generates genuine pace from his energetic action.

An incredibly pleasant youngster, Anesu represented the Eastern Titans and has been a regular around the various youth representative competitions post-COVID. A genuine wicket-taker, he was selected for the 2024 ICC Under 19 World Cup in South Africa. Whilst the tournament wasn’t a great success for the Chevrons, the young seamer has just gone from strength to strength, making his professional debut for the Mountaineers in the Pro50 Championship in summer 2024-25, picking up 6 wickets in 4 games.

He was selected for the Zimbabwe Emerging Players tour to England in 2025 and was one of the tour most consistent seamers, picking up 10 wickets @ 27.10. He carried his good form into the National Premier League, cleaning out the SOGO Rangers in his first game back with a brilliant 7-13 (8) for the Eastern Titans.

Seeking his first full season in the UK in 2026, Anesu will be a great pick up for any club seeking an emerging young seamer for next summer that has the ability to change a game very quickly.
