Asif Afridi

Asif Afridi is an experienced spin bowling all-rounder from Peshawar in Pakistan. A left-handed middle order Batsman, Asif is an exceptional left-arm spinner with over 10 years of First Class cricket behind him for Abbottabad and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Having debuted in 2009 for Abbottabad in 2009, playing 3 games, he would have to wait until 2015 to re-appear in First Class cricket despite being in and around the FATA squad, having played a bit of T20 for them.

On his return to the First Class arena in 2015-16, Asif hardly looked like breaking any records with some fairly average performances but FATA persisted with him and it sure has paid off, 84 wickets @ 20.67 in 20 games since 2016-17 has seen him become a genuine strike weapon for them in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy competitions. He has also been a handy contributor in T20 cricket, with some clean hitting (strike rate 137.69) and 26 wickets @ 24.34 with a best of 5-27.

Asif has spent the last two English summers with Rastrick CC in the Huddersfield league, scoring 1084 runs @ 32.85 and helping himself to an incredible 127 wickets @ 8.53 across his two seasons with the club with a best of 7-14 against Lascelles Hall CC.

Seeking to return to the UK in 2022, Asif is eager to return with a preference for the Bradford area and will be travelling with his family preferably.
