Asim Ali Nasir

Asim Ali Nasir is a quality Wicketkeeper/Batsman from Lahore, Pakistan. A Right-handed Top Order Batsman, Asim is an exceptional gloveman that is in the midst of a second coming as a professional cricketer. He is currently representing Faisalabad in the Pakistan Domestic system via the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

Having emerged through the Lahore system as a young cricketer, he represented the Lahore West Zone at U19 level as a 16-year old before being selected to play for Fresh Face in the PCB Patrons Trophy (Grade II) in the 2012-13 season. He maintained a place in the Lahore Ravi U19 side before he aged out.

He re-appeared in the Patron’s Trophy in summer 2015-16 for the Service Industries side and was exceptional, scoring 493 runs @ 98.60 to accumulate more than twice the amount of runs of his closest team mate and finishing the tournament 5th overall for runs.

First class and List A debuts soon followed but he was unable to deliver in his handful of opportunities so was confined to mostly local cricket for the best part of a decade save for a brief soiree in Sri Lanka with Galle CC.

He pushed his way back into the Faisalabad team ahead of summer 2025-26 and after a ropey start, struck a high-class 114 (249) against Multan to keep them in the contest in his 2nd game back in the big time. A follow up fifty in a big win against FATA and a cheeky 62* (96) in the 2nd innings against Peshawar to see them home for another win sees him set up for hopefully a longer return to the professional game and a just reward for not giving up.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2026, Asim will be a good pick up for any club seeking a quality WK/Bat for next summer.
