Ben Frewin

Ben Frewin is a talented all-rounder from New Plymouth, New Zealand. A conventional Right-handed batsman suited to the middle order, he is one of the regions most skillful seamers, with his Right-arm Fast/Medium bowling proving very effective that has been in and around the Central Districts Stags pathways of the back of his performances for New Plymouth Old Boys CC & Taranaki.

Having starred for the Stags at U17 & U19 level (Ben was the U19 Most Valuable Player), Ben came out the other side of COVID flying and was selected for the Central Districts A team throughout 2021. Off the back of consistent form in 2025-26, he was twice selected in the Stags squad and despite carrying the drinks, being selected was a credit for his bagfuls of wickets during that summer at club and Hawke Cup level.

And what a summer it was, 38 wickets @ 9.92 with a best of 6-25 for New Plymouth to go with 346 runs @ 31.45 in an outstanding return to go with a couple of dozen wickets for Taranaki. His best of 8-123 against a fully stacked Stags side was a highlight.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2027, Ben will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a genuine seam-bowling all-rounder for the summer. Ben will be travelling with his partner. Ben is eligible for a UK Ancestry Visa.
