Ben Dale is a talented young Batsman from Perth, Australia. A hard working Top Order Batsman, Ben is also a handy part-time Right-arm Medium/Fast seamer. A well built young man, at 6ft 2in he has a long arc and once he fills his frame out will have a genuine presence at the crease. Ben is also an excellent fielder with a powerful throwing arm and safe set of hands. A long-term Mount Lawley DCC junior, he first represented the club in the John Inverarity Shield (U13) in 2015 as a 12-year-old.

Having progressed through the club’s age group sides, he was graded by the club as a 14-year old in the MLDCC 4th XI. Ben has progressed steadily through the age groups and in 2022-23 made his 1st Grade debut. Expected to become an elite first grade all-rounder according to his coaches, Ben has pushed into the 1st XI this summer, a year earlier than planned following a number of senior player retirements. However, he has shown fighting spirit and as a genuine all-round sportsman, having excelled in Hockey, swimming, Life-saving and baseball, Ben has used his competitive edge to take the challenge head on.

Naturally more suited to white-ball cricket, Ben has been developing the ability to bat for extended periods of time. With good discipline, he has been asked to concentrate on batting time this season with the strength of the 1XI, the young side have been tasked with showing more fight and resilience rather just playing their natural game. A right arm medium/fast bowler, he can swing it both ways, as well as deliver seam & variants but batting remains his stronger discipline.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2023, Ben holds a UK Passport as well as a Cricket Australia Level One coaching qualification and will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a talented young top order batsman that can contribute with the ball as well.
