Bevan Small is an experienced all-rounder from Hastings, New Zealand. A hard-hitting Top/Middle Order Batsman, Bevan, formerly a front line seamer, has reinvented himself as a Right-arm Off & Leg Spin bowler following knee surgery. A standout for his native Central Districts through the age groups, Bevan represented the region at U17 level from the age of 15 and remained a regular through to the U19 side with his youth career capped off in style with 5 matches for the New Zealand U19 side at the 2010 ICC U19 World Cup.

In the 2 years that followed and still a teenager, Bevan made his debut’s for Central Districts across all three formats before he was 20 and would go on to remain contracted to the Stags for the next 9 summers, becoming a regular in both red and white ball cricket and appearing for them on 100+ occasions.

Bevan has had three previous stints in the UK, in 2015, 2016 & 2019. His first summer, in the Liverpool League with Orrell Red Triangle was excellent, piling on 1000 runs and jagging 27 wickets. A 2016 stint with Burbage & Easton Royal CC in the West of England Premier League saw him score over 500 runs in 16 knocks with a best of 114* against Gloucester CC. After a 3 year hiatus, he returned in 2019, joining Netherfield CC in the ECB Northern Premier League, helping himself to 935 runs/44 wickets in an excellent return.

Seeking a return to the Northern Hemisphere this summer, Bevan is eager to get as much cricket under his belt as possible having pushed back into the Central Districts system in season 2022-23 and will be an outstanding pick up for any club seeking a genuine all-rounder for 2023. Bevan will be travelling with his partner.
