Bikram Kumar Das

Bikram Kumar Das is an exciting young cricketer from Tripura, India. A diminutive Left-handed Opening/Top order batsman, BK generates genuine power in his stroke-play through exquisite timing of the ball and has been excellent at the top of the order for Tripura, especially in the white-ball formats. He has also worked tirelessly on his Right-arm Off Spin and has been used by the Pro side on a number of occasions across all three formats.

A junior star for Tripura, BK was selected in the State U16 side at just 14 years old and the U19 side from just 16 years old. Having dominated for the age groups, excelling particularly in the 50-over format, he was handed his professional debut at 17 in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He’d appeared across all three formats by the end of summer 2018-19 with limited success.

As is often the case, he had aspects of his game to work on and he did just that, returning the professional game a much more accomplished player but still a very young man. His performances have trended positively and since summer 2022-23, is averaging 35+ across all formats as of early 2024. He was Tripura’s leading run scorer in the 2023-24 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, BKD joined Frocester CC in the WEPL, scoring 587 runs @ 48.92 in a classy first outing cut short by domestic duty.

BKD will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a genuine top order batsman that can contribute with the ball as well next summer.
