Blake MacDonald

Blake MacDonald is a highly rated Top Order Batsman from Canberra, Australia. Based in the Nation’s Capital, Blake has for a number of years made the trip up the M31 to Sydney to represent St George District Cricket Club in the NSW Premier Cricket competition. A composed Right-hander, Blake debuted for the club’s First Grade side in 2017/18 as a 19 year old having already had 4-5 seasons of Grade experience for his home club, Western Districts Cricket Club in the ACT Competition.

A regular in various age group representative teams for his native ACT, Blake has featured for the ACT in the Futures League competition whilst carving out a strong start to his NSW Premier Cricket Career. One of the more consistent top order batsmen in the competition, the 2021-22 was a breakout year for Blake, scoring 539 runs @ 59.89 in First Grade for St George.

Selected for a NSW/ACT combined representative side to take on the touring West Indies squad in their final warm-up before taking on Australia. He pummelled the West Indies to all parts of Phillip Oval, blazing a high-class 177* (265) to set up a first innings lead.

Seeking his first season abroad in 2023, Blake will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a high-end Opening Batsman for next summer. A keen coach, Blake holds a Cricket Australia Level 1 coaching qualification.
