Blake Nikitaras

Blake Nikitaras is an enigmatic talent from Sydney currently contracted to New South Wales. A tall, classy Left-handed Opening Batsman, Blake comes from a cricketing family, with his dad having represented Western Australia. A junior star, Blake has progressed through the grade ranks after linking with St George DCC following playing most of his cricket in the Illawarra region for Oak Flats as a junior.

Having represented New South Wales U17 before heading to St George, he remained in the Blues pathway and represented the state at the Under 19 Australian National Championships before going on to feature heavily for the Blues in the Toyota Futures League 2nd XI. Having smoked 355 runs @ 50+ in just 4 games, Blake’s form warranted a first team debut in summer 2021-22 and he’s gone on to become a regular sight in the Sheffield Shield side ever since.

Blake did get a brief taste of the Big Bash League in summer 2022-23 with a couple of games for the Sydney Thunder and watching his highlights video, it’s not hard to see why opportunities will come across all formats in time for the talented young man.

At club level, Blake just appears to be playing a game to everyone else, the first half of his 2024-25 season was ridiculous with almost 841 runs @ 84.10 including three hundreds before Christmas, finishing with 1198 by the end of the summer.

Seeking his first foray into UK cricket in summer 2026, Blake will be an outstanding pick up for any UK club seeking a high class top order batsman for next summer. Blake is a Cricket Australia Level One coach and is keen to play in/around London.
