Brad Evans is an elite seam bowling all-rounder from Zimbabwe. From a cricketing family (his Dad, Craig, was a former International), Brad is a powerfully built and athletic Right-arm Seamer as well as being a clean-striking Right-handed Middle/Lower Middle Order Batsman. A junior star, he represented Zimbabwe at U13 & U17 level before heading to England to finish his schooling at Eastbourne College in Sussex.

Brad remained in the UK to study, attending Cardiff University and joining their MCCU program, making his First Class debut for them, against Gloucestershire CCC. It was am impressive start, taking 4-53 in the Gloucs 1st Innings. He returned to Zimbabwe ahead of the 2020-21 summer, joining the Eagles Franchise and making his domestic first class debut against the Mountaineers in December 2020. His T20 debut came late that summer in April 2021, as did his 50-over debut the same month.

In May 2022, Brad was named in Zimbabwe’s T20I squad for their home series against Namibia, making his T20I debut in the 3rd match. August 2022 saw him picked for Zimbabwe’s ODI series’ against Bangladesh & India, debuting on 7 August 2022 against BAN. In the 3rd ODI against India, Brad took his career best figures of 5–54, knocking over 4 of the top 5 including Dhawan, Rahl & Gill. He’s gone on to represent Zimbabwe across all 3 formats following a test debut against the West Indies in February 2023.

A genuine threat with the ball, Brad has had plenty of UK club experience, with his 2021 stint with Lansdown CC in the West of England Premier League yielding an impressive 41 wickets @ 9.98 with a best of 5-8 against Bedminster. His 2025 return for Woodhouses was equally impressive, with 39 wickets @ 14 and 400+ runs before a call up to the Zimbabwe ODI side cut short his summer.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Brad will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a high class new ball bowler that is more than capable of batting in the middle order next summer. Brad is an ECB Level 2 coach.
