Brian Mudzinganyama

Brian Mudzinganyama is a talented and promising all-rounder from Zimbabwe that has been somewhat of a late bloomer with his first provincial appearance of any note coming just prior to his 24th Birthday. A Left-handed Top Order/Opening Batsman, Brian is also a capable Right-arm Off Spinner that is whilst not a front line regular bowler, has proved to be very effective on a number of occasions in Provincial Cricket for a number of domestics side including the Rocks, Rangers & Eagles.

Brian has represented Zimbabwe A on a number of occasions and made his Test debut back in January 2020 as a concussion substitute vs Sri Lanka. He was a member of the talent program tour to Namibia more recently in August 2021. His inclusion in the National Squad initially came off the back of some great form for the Rangers Franchise. Throughout 2019-20, Brian scored 336 runs at 48.00 and took 7 wickets (all in one game vs Rhinos with match figures of 4-27 & 3-59). His best innings came in the same Rhino’s match, with a best of 128.

Brian has his first season in the UK in 2022, joining Whittington CC in the Staffs Prem. 1037 runs @ 47.14 to go with 24 wickets was an excellent first up return for the classy left-hander. He back this up in 2023 with another strong performance, this time in Essex, as he joined Wivenhoe Town CC, scoring 888 runs and bagging 30 wickets for the Two Counties Championship side. His 2024 return yielded much the same, 853 league runs @ 50.18.

A good all-rounder and keen coach, Brian will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a classy left-handed batsman/Spinner for next summer.
