Bright Matsiwe is energetic and flamboyant top order dasher from Kadoma, Zimbabwe. An attacking right-hander, Bright prefers to open, particularly in white-ball cricket, he is also a more than capable Wicket-keeper. Bright currently represents the Midwest Rhinos Franchise having debuted in December 2019.
Schooled at Jameson High School in Kadoma, Bright didn’t have a glittering youth career to speak of but was a standout for the school, appearing in the 1st XI from year 9 and voted Batsman of the year each year until he finished school.
Somewhat of a late bloomer, Bright made his first provincial appearance in late 2019 and in just a handful of games, has shown he is capable of meaningful contribution at franchise level with a couple of impressive knocks including an outstanding 64 (62) against the Southern Rocks to set up a successful run chase.
Seeking his first season abroad in 2022, Bright will be a good pick up for any club seeking a capable WK/Batsman for next summer.
