Campbell Kellaway is one of the hottest young prospects in Australian Cricket. A classy left-handed Top Order batsman that is as comfortable opening as he is at first or second drop, Campbell is also a very tidy Slow Left-arm Orthodox Spinner. A junior star for his native Victoria through the age groups, Campbell represented Victoria at U15, U17 and U18 Emerging level as well as starring for Caufield Grammar School.
Currently contracted to the Bushrangers as well as representing the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, Campbell represented the Australia at the 2022 Under 19 World Cup held in the Caribbean, finishing in the top 10 for runs and Australia’s 2nd highest run scorer for the tournament. Campbell also represents Melbourne CC in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition.
Summer 2022-23 was a breakout for the young gun, debuting across all three formats for Victoria and the Stars and representing the Cricket Australia XI as they faced the touring South Africans. His scores of 105* & 34*. The runs continued to flow throughout the remainder of the summer and he was selected to represent Australia A in back-to-back series against New Zealand A both home and away.
From a sporting family, this talented young man has a big future in the game if he continues to follow his current trajectory, a big finish to the 2023-24 summer could see him slip in to contention for higher honours with a much publicised opening position up for grabs in the national team. Never say never.
Seeking his first season abroad in 2024, Campbell joined Pudsey St Lawrence CC in the Bradford Premier League, scoring 774 runs @ 64.50 in an excellent first up return.
Campbell will be a fantastic pick up for any UK club seeking a dominant top order batsman that can contribute with the ball next summer.
