Cebo Tshiki

Cebo is a high quality left handed top order/opening batsman and also a handy left-arm medium pace seam bowler from South Africa’s Western Cape. Having debuted in 2011 for his native Border Bears, he dropped out of the frame after a slow start but was promptly picked up by Boland after some solid performances in the Cricket South Africa Rural competition and has remained in the Western Cape ever since.

A provincial regular, Cebo has played for the Western Cape’s Franchise outfit, the Cape Cobras on a couple of occasions but has been resigned to plying most of his trade for the Boland side in the CSA 3-Day competition for the most part. With three previous seasons of UK experience, Cebo has proved he can be a genuine contributor in UK conditions. Firstly, in 2015, he joined Cornwall Cricket League club, St Minver CC for whom he proceeded to pummel 1174 runs averaging 55.90 collecting 18 wickets to go with it.

He returned in 2017/2018 to join Fox Lodge CC in the North West Cricket Union Premiership, scoring 1570 runs and taking 27 wickets in his two seasons in the North West Championship. In summer 2019, Cebo headed to the beautiful Brooke CC in Norfolk, helping them to a 4th place finish in the Norfolk Premier Division, his 631 runs coming @ 57.36 to go with 16 wickets @ 26.50.

Cebo joined Ivybridge CC in Devon in summer 2022 and was outstanding in a side that struggled. His 995 runs @ 71.07 and 18 wickets @ 26.17 was an excellent return for him in a tough season on-field for the club. He returned in 2023, scoring 937 runs @ 66.93 and bagging 18 wickets @ 21.00.

A keen and experienced coach, Cebo would like to play an active role in both Junior and Senior Coaching at his club for next season.
