Cuthbert Musoko

Cuthbert Musoko is a skilful seam bowling all-rounder from Harare, Zimbabwe. A right-arm Fast/Medium seamer and hard-hitting Right-hander that bats lower order, Cuthbert was identified as a long term prospect from a young age, having been selected for two editions of the ICC Under 19 World Cup, the 2012 Australian-Hosted & the 2014 UAE-Hosted events.

In between World Cups, his rapid progression was rewarded with professional debuts across all three formats by the end of 2012. By 2014, he’d been selected for Zimbabwe A in just his 6th First Class game and looked to be set for a long and successful international career.

A mix of injury, attitude and poor timing saw his career plateau but across the entirety of his career, he’s rarely had a bad season performance wise, which makes him quite a curious cricketer, with his bowling record across all three formats up there with the best in Zimbabwe’s domestic history.

Cuthbert has been to the UK twice previously, an injury-interrupted, 6-game, 2016 stint with Worthing in Sussex and a much more productive 2018 stint with Hartsholme CC in the Lincolnshire Cricket League First Division. His 2018 summer saw him score 338 runs @ 26 to go with a very impressive 32 @ 12.03 which included a best of 7-25.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Cuthbert has re-joined us with a newfound enthusiasm and very positive outlook on what is still to come in his career as he enters his prime as a seamer, he’ll be a sound pick up for any club seeking a strike new-ball bowler that can contribute with some lower order runs.
