Danie Rossouw

Daniel ‘Danie’ Rossouw is an explosive opening Keeper-Batsman who hails from the renowned Waterkloof High School in Pretoria. Strong in stature, he likes to set the tone and dominate his opposition. A Right-handed Top Order Batsman, Danie enjoys pace on the ball and batting within the powerplay but with good footwork is just as comfortable against spin.

Danie was a regular for Northerns in the Cricket South Africa Age group competitions in his teens but has been a late bloomer when it comes to the Professional game, debuting in 2021 at 25 years old off the back of form simply too good to ignore in Premier League cricket.

Danie had an early career stint in the UK, a 2015 summer with Pelsall Cricket Club in the Birmingham League, scoring 609 runs @ 32.05 in what was a solid first up return. He returned to the UK in 2022, joining Stenhousemuir in Scotland and put in one of the best seasons in league history, scoring 1390 runs @ 81.76 with a best of 150 against Hillhead CC.

He was swiftly re-engaged by Stenny for 2023 and there was no 2nd year syndrome, with Danie banging out 1058 runs @ 58.78 for the club, with a best of 110* coming against Drumpellier in the McCulloch Cup.

Danie is a level 2 coach who has his own academy so will be a great pick up for any club seeking a high quality top order dasher that is also keen to be involved as much off the field as on it.
