Denis Smith is a hard-hitting Wicketkeeper/Batsman from the tiny Caribbean Island of Grenada. Coming from a cricketing family, Denis is the nephew of Grenada, Winward Islands and West Indies star, Devon Smith. A good cricketer in his own right, Denis is a tidy Wicket-Keeper and Right-handed Batsman capable of batting anywhere in the order and has represented the Winward Islands in both 4-Day and 1-Day Cricket, as well a number of appearances for Jamaica in 2019-20.

Having floated up and down the order in his 40 appearances for the Winward Islands, Denis has shown glimpses of his ability but the consistent runs he craves have evaded him so far. His standout performances have come in red ball cricket cricket with his patient approach yielding four half-centuries in his 29 appearances with a best of 84 coming for Jamaica against the Leeward Islands, helping to set up a big 1st innings lead and ultimately a 5 wicket win.

Seeking his first season abroad in 2023, Denis will be a good pick up for any club seeking a capable Wicketkeeper/Batsman keen to make his make his mark in the UK this summer.
