Dhruv Parashar is one of the more genuinely exciting young all-round associate cricketers in the world today. A hard=hitting right-hander that can bat anywhere in the order, it is right-arm mystery spin that has attracted the attention of some the world’s best players and coaching staff alike. Originally from India, Dhruv completed a significant portion of his education in the UK, at Wellington College. He debuted for the International Men’s side on New Years Eve, 2023.

A schoolboy star, Dhruv dominated through the age groups and at the 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup in the Caribbean, was one of the tournaments standout performers, with 8 wickets @ 13.87 and has gained the attention of a number of Franchise team coaches, including the very man that referred him to us, Tom Moody.

Whilst his batting didn’t shine at the World Cup, he did open the batting during the tournament and has been very successful in other tournaments for the UAE. A wholehearted performer, Dhruv was excellent for Somerset CCC from the age of 14-17 whilst completing his schooling here in the UK, scoring 400 runs and bagging 21 wickets in 21 appearances.

At just 18, Dhruv was drafted by the Desert Vipers franchise for International League T20, with his clever spin bowling combinations impressing the coaching staff so much, they grabbed him in the draft.

Dhruv returned to the UK in 2024, joining Wellington CC in the Birmingham Premier Division. Despite a late start and unfortunate early return for national duty, he put together 504 runs @ 38.77 and picked up 15 wickets @ 26.67. A solid return first time round as a professional but there is more come next time around

Dhruv and his combination of very effective spin-bowling and hard-hitting middle order batting, will make him a popular pick up for the summer.
