Diego Rosier is an experienced all-rounder Cricketer, originally from Kimberley in South Africa’s Northern Cape but now based in Port Elizabeth with the Eastern Province Warriors. A naturally talented Right-hander, Diego is also a capable Right-arm Leg Spinner that is just about the perfect result of a pathway system.

Having represent Northern Cape (formerly Griqualand West) from Under 13 level, he was one of the first players picked for the region all the way through to Under 19 Level. He was ultimately selected for the South African U19 team to contest the 2012 ICC Under 19 World Cup held in Australia. None of this was a surprise, as Diego had already debuted at First Class level for Northern Cape as a 16 year old and already had over 25 professional games across all three formats to his name before the tournament commenced.

Diego was a regular for the Province as well as the Knights Franchise it fed into under the old South African system before a move to the Titans/Northerns ahead of the 2018-19 summer. He continued to produce the good particularly in the One-Day format and his form led to selection for the South African Invitational XI to play England in December 2019, scoring an impressive 70 against Anderson, Woakes, Curran and Co.

In his only previous UK stint, Diego joined Enfield CC in the Lancashire League in Summer 2016. Whilst his return wasn’t what he hoped for in his first exposure to the conditions of Northern England, he will return a much more accomplished Batsman entering the peak of his powers.

And that he did. 738 runs @ 41.00 for Sessay CC in the ECB Yorkshire North Premier League was an excellent return to go with a more than useful 22 wickets @ 22.95, including a best of 6-41. He backed it up in 2024, with 882 runs @ 67.85 to go along with 18 wickets.

Diego will be an outstanding pick up for any UK club seeking a classy Top Order Batsman that can contribute with some right-arm Leg spin next summer.
