Diumuth Sandaruwan is an exciting young all-round talent from Sri Lanka. A gifted left-hander that has found a home in the Negombo middle order, he also bowls better than useful Right-arm Off Spin and has taken the gloves in the past in age group cricket. Dimuth is a product of the renowned Richmond College, which has a glorious history of producing elite cricketers.

Dimuth represented Southern Province in a brief Youth representative career, with 713 runs @ 39.61 in 20 innings with a best of 174 in the 2018-19 season. Having debuted at List A level for Galle CC in 2021-22, he made just 2 appearances, batting once, so he wasted no time accepting an opportunity to link with Negombo CC ahead of the 2022 season.

With a new home, came new opportunity and Dimuth made his First Class debut and List A debut for NCC throughout the 2022 domestic season. His 50-over form was excellent, with 312 runs @ 34.66, scoring a career best of 88* against SL Navy to steer them home to a 5-wicket win.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, Dimuth will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a quality top order batsman that can contribute with the ball or gloves next summer.
