Diniru is establishing himself as one of the most dynamic and versatile young talents in Sri Lanka. A classical left hand batsman he combines technical soundness with the ability to anchor or accelerate an innings. His progression from St.Servatius college to national youth colours highlighted by high profile exposure against both the West Indies and England Under 19 teams. This provided a strong foundation for his transition into premier league cricket.
Diniru is playing his first season in the Uk for Gedling CC where he is soon to complete an excellent season. He is looking to return next summer again and represents an excellent option for a club looking for a proven performer in the Uk, available for the whole season who is eager to get involved with coaching of juniors and all aspects of club life.
