Dominic Hendricks

Dominic is a prolific Top Order Batsman that had taken all before him in the early stages of his career. A schoolboy prodigy, Dominic was a star for his nation at Under 19 level, being awarded player of the tournament in the 2010 Under 19 World Cup with 391 runs @ 97.75. Dominic followed his success at the World Cup with a prompt entry into 1st Class Cricket with Gauteng, scoring a classy 60 against North-West.

Having firmly cemented his place in the Gauteng side, Dominic made his debut for the Lions Franchise with scores of 24 & 41. Dominic has now gone on to become the Lions Franchise Vice-Captain, which is a credit to his leadership and cricketing abilities. A class act and a genuinely great guy, Dominic has a wealth of UK experience. A dreadfully wet-english summer in 2012 at Marske CC, a cracking summer in 2013 with Knowle & Dorridge in the Birmingham Premier League, an excellent 2015 with Biddestone in the West of England League and an even better 2017 with Hartley CC in the Kent Prem. He returned again to Biddestone CC for the 2019 summer, scoring 634 runs @ 35.22.

Dom headed to the UK for the first time post-COVID in 2022, joining Cliftonville Academy in the Northern Cricket Union. A tough summer saw him pick up 554 runs @ 36.93 but was at his blazing best with 165* (130) against Cregagh CC.

Dom returned to the UK in 2024, signing for Mawdesley CC in the ECB Northern Premier League. A tough year for the club saw them relegated but Dom did his best to fight the slide, scoring 939 runs @ 40.83 to go with an impressive 42 wickets @ 17.36.

A top-drawer keeper, capable Off Spinner, good fielder and Level 2 coach, Dominic ticks a lot of boxes for UK clubs seeking a high-end professional with a proven track record for next summer. Dom’s wife will visit during the summer.
