Dulanjala is a standout Slow Left-arm Orthodox spinner from Sri Lanka with over 340 professional wickets to his name. Currently representing SL Air Force SC, he has been a regular in First Class and List A cricket for a number of Sri Lankan domestic teams since his debut in 2009 as a 19 year old.
Not a noted batsman, Dulanjala’s talent lies with ball in hand, having an incredible strike rate of a wicket every 6 overs in First class and every 4 in one day cricket. Incredibly, he collects his One day wickets at 15.57 a piece. In summer 2017, Dulanjala joined JG Meakin CC as a professional and promptly continued his trend of pulling batting line-ups apart, collecting 55 wickets @ 11.80 with a best of 6-27.
Dully joined Frinton-on-Sea CC in 2019 for their pursuit of the ECB East Anglian Premier League and what season it was, as the club secured their first ECB East Anglian Premier league title with a round of games to spare. He was instrumental in the clubs success, picking up 41 wickets @ 14.07 in the league with a best of 5-19 against Burwell & Exning CC. He returned to Frinton in 2021 and just as effective with 35 wickets @ 17.43 with a best of 5-29.
Dully headed back to Essex in 2023, this time joining Belhus CC in the ECB Essex Div 1 to aid their pursuit of a swift return to the Premier League and they achieved just that. Dully was his usual consistent self, bagging 32 wickets @ 21.34 with a best of 5-17 and even managed to clock up a ton with a 101* against Brentwood in a midweek fixture.
He returned in 2024, heading to North Wales to link with Colwyn Bay CC. His return of 87 wickets @ 10.56 was quite frankly outrageous and helped the club to seal promotion back to the ECB Liverpool Premier League.
Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Dulanjala will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a strike spin bowler for next summer and has completed his ECB Level 2 Coaching qualification.
