Ethan Frosler is a skillful all-round cricket from Port Elizabeth in South Africa’s Eastern Province. A hard-hitting Right-hander that can bat anywhere in the middle order, Ethan is a very tidy Right-arm Fast/Medium seamer. Schooled at Pearson High School in PE, he was a standout performer for the school and was a regular in the EP age group sides throughout his teens.

At 15, Ethan was playing his Club Cricket for Gelvandale CC, featuring in the 1st XI whilst concurrently becoming one of the youngest players to represent Pearson High School’s 1st XI. He was a standout for Eastern Province through each age group and in 2018, still just 16, was selected for EP U19 side to contest the 2018-19 Khaya Majola Coke Week, he was subsequently pick in the Warriors Cubs side of the following couple of seasons. Like for so many, COVID just came along at the wrong time but he was headed off to study at the local Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) in any case.

Whilst studying and continuing to pursue cricket via NMMU’s elite coaching program, Ethan has handed a First Class debut, against Gauteng up in Potchefstroom when the Provincial game was re-commencing. He was a regular for the Eastern Province Colts side but studies remained the focus and he was selected for the RSA Universities side to contest the Africa games in March 2024.

Ethan made use of his first winter off studying, heading to Falkland CC in Scotland for the 2024 summer and was excellent, scoring 871 runs & bagging 57 wickets @ 15.28 for the summer. T20 Finals day was standout for the summer with a best of 5-10 against Aberdeenshire in the Semi-Final followed by a match winning 101* (60) in the Final to set up Final’s Day glory.

Keen on a return overseas as a professional for the first time, Ethan will be a very handy pick up for any club looking for a genuine all-rounder for next summer that has proven experience in the UK.
