Faiz is an experienced first class Opening batsman currently playing first class cricket in India for Vidarbha State team. He has been an ever-present at the top of the Vidarbha line up since scoring 151 on his first class debut in December 2003. In 2004 he could have been part of the Indian Under 19 squad, but an injury forced him to withdraw being replaced by current national star Shikhar Dhawan who went on to become the tournaments highest run scorer.

After years of consistent performance in domestic cricket, he was called up to the Indian national side in 2016, where he won his first international cap on the tour of Zimbabwe. He became the first Indian in 16 years to make an ODI debut in his thirties, surely just reward for his consistent performance for Vidharba. Despite scoring 55* (61) on debut, he was unable to retain his place in the team.

Faiz has had excellent success in the UK starting in 2007 where he played for Batley CC in the Yorkshire Premier League scoring over a 1000 league runs. In 2016 he played just 6 games for Hetton Lyons cc but had to leave early due to his International call up. He returned this season to have an outstanding season in the ECB Liverpool Premier League playing for Ainsdale CC where he finished the highest run scorer with 1036 league runs at an average of 57.56 with 5 hundreds.

In summer 2018, Faiz joined ECB Cornwall Premier League outfit, Truro CC and was instrumental in their charge to the upper tier of the table before being called back to India prematurely. Faiz scored 567 runs @ 47.25 but his bowling was most impressive, collecting 41 wickets @ 13.02 in just 17 games with a best of 5-40 against frontrunners, Werrington CC.

Faiz returned in 2019, joining Lisburn CC in the Northern Cricket Union Premier League and once again, left his mark on a new club. Faiz scored 608 runs @ 55.27 but it was his contributions around the club that made him one of the clubs most popular professionals in recent memory. He re-joined in 2021, scoring 1043 runs @ 54.89 with a penultimate game best of 158* in another outstanding return.

In summer 2022, Faiz returned to Lisburn and was once again a dominant force as they went on to win the league with 1449 runs @ 72.45 and 25 wickets @ 17.04. He did the usual again in 2023, with 1268 runs @ 66.74.

Looking to return once again for next season, Faiz will be one of the best overseas batsman available to clubs for the forthcoming season. He will be travelling with his wife and young daughter so will need suitable accommodation.
