Gayan Manishan

Gayan is a experienced and talented batsman currently playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka for the Sri Lankan Ports Authority. A fantastic first class record in all formats with a healthy average of 36 with 8 first class hundreds to his name and 21 fifties to date. A born leader Gayan has captained his first class teams with excellent success.

A former Sri Lanka A player Gayan has had some terrific performances here playing for Chorley CC in 2017 scoring 599 runs then returned in 2018 where he finished one the leading run scorers with over 1000 runs. He returned this season for a stint in Scotland for Drumpellier CC where the season was frustration due to the weather only playing a total of 12 matches scoring 542 runs at 45.16.

He joined Fox Lodge CC in the North West Cricket Union for the 2023 summer, scoring 500 runs and bagging 12 wickets. He was re-engaged by Fox Lodge for the 2024 summer and was outstanding, with 1042 runs @ 54.84 and chipping in with 34 wickets @ 16.29.

A player who is available all season and loves to get heavily involved with all aspects of club life and enjoys to help with the junior section. Gayan is a proven player in these conditions and represents a high quality player for any club. He is eager for a return next season and will consider all options.
