Gianluca is a hard-hitting all-rounder from South Africa but with Italian & British Heritage. A big unit, Luca is a clean striking middle order batsman as well being a very capable Right-arm Off Spinner that represented the Italian U19 side in the World Cup Qualifiers in 2023. He attended renowned Cricket school, SACS and represented the schools 1st XI.
An imposing figure, Luca plays his club cricket in South Africa with Milnerton CC and debuted for the 1st XI at just 14 years old as well debuting for the School 1st XI the same year. At the 2023 qualifiers, he was top 10 in both runs and wickets across the whole tournament and had represented Italy at U19 level since he was 15.
Having been strong for Milnerton CC, Luca sought his first full season abroad in summer 2025, linking with Bomere Heath CC in the Shropshire County League, scoring 600+ runs and bagging 30+ wickets in a solid first up return but one that saw him under deliver with the bat if there is any criticism
Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Luca will be a good pick up for any club seeking a hard-hitting all-rounder that can change a game with ball or ball.
