Graham Hume

Graham was one of South Africa’s most consistent high-performing seamers. A national representative at both U19 and Academy Level, Graham was always destined for big things. A genuine strike bowler with genuine pace, Graham is a proven performer at 1st Class level and statistically one of South Africa’s best in the First Class game. With his economical and consistent action has a phenomenal record at First Class level, with 308 wickets @ 17.90 and a career economy rate of 2.63 runs an over, truly remarkable numbers. A breakout year in 2014-15, Graham went on to represent the Dolphins Franchise in the back part of the season.

A regular in the UK summer, Graham has had seven seasons of UK experience. His first UK placement was a 2 year stint at Cleethorpes CC (2012/13), collecting 93 wickets and 1048 runs. Further stints at Farsley in 2014 (35 wickets), 2 years at Burwell CC (73 wickets) and 4 consecutive campaigns for Coleraine in 2017/18/19/20 (102 wickets @ 11.93) have reinforced his status as one of the best fast-bowling Overseas Professionals available. He has been a regular feature for the North West Warriors as he works towards qualification for Ireland in due course. He’d been selected by Ireland A in the 2020-21 winter to tour Bangladesh.

In summer 2021, Graham joined NCU Powerhouses, Waringstown CC and was again, exceptional, racking up the kind of numbers we’ve come to expect from him (500+ runs & 30+ wickets). He returned to the club in 2022 and was again exceptional, making his debut for Ireland in the process.

A capable batsman, Graham has shown his genuine all round abilities across most formats of the game. A Level 2 Coach, Graham will suit many clubs seeking a quality seam bowling all-rounder for next summer and is one of the most genuinely likeable players available. Graham is residing in Northern Ireland permanently on a Spousal Visa.
