Hamza Khan is a Pakistan-born international cricketer who represents the Rwanda national cricket team as a hard-hitting Right-handed, top-order batter. Born in Peshawar, he developed his career through Rwanda’s domestic club system and made his international debut in October 2023. He rose to global cricket fame in May 2026 after smashing a historic 164 off 65 balls* against Ivory Coast, recording the second-highest individual score in Men’s T20 International (T20I) history.

Widely recognised as a instrumnental figure in elevating Rwandan cricket’s profile internationally, Hamza has been a standout in the Rwanda domestic competitions for Ingabo Titans in the T20 challenge over the 2025-26 seasons.

A brutal top order hitter, his legendary knock against Ivory Coast was something to behold and he sits just behind Aaron Finch’s world-record 172 runs as No. 2 on the list, surpassing Hazratullah Zazai’s 162*. His innings propelled Rwanda to 288/2, securing the 3rd largest victory margin (271 runs) in T20I history as they rolled Ivory Coast for just 17 in reply.

Another dark horse associate option for 2027, Hamza will be an interesting pick for any UK club seeking top order reinforcement for next summer that will be available all season.
