Hashen is a exciting, young & talented allrounder currently playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka for Burgher CC. A stylish and powerful top order batsman who was prolific for Royal St Thomas college and is the current record holder for batting at the college. In the 2012/13 season he scored 980 runs in the National Under 19 competition and in 2014 he played for the Sri Lankan Under 19 team in the 2014 World cup in the UAE. Later in 2014 he impressed playing for the Sri Lankan under 19 team against Australia.

Hashen comes from an excellent cricketing family, his dad Champaka Ramanayake who was the Sri Lankan bowling coach for many years, played 18 Tests and 62 ODI’S for Sri Lanka and his brother Himesh Ramanayake has already represented the Sri Lankan under 19’s at 17 years old.

Hashen starred for Salesbury CC in the Ribblesdale League in 2019 following a successful 2018 with the club. In 2019, Hashen scored 784 runs and collected 49 wickets in an excellent all-round performance. He was with West of Scotland CC in 2017, where he finished 2nd in runs and 7th in wickets in the league leaderboards. He has also previously had successful stints with Highgate CC (Middlesex) and Saintfield (Northern Ireland).

In summer 2021, Hashen put in his best return to date, scoring over 2000 runs and collecting another good haul of 57 wickets for Cutthorpe CC in the Derbyshire League. His off field coaching was again exceptional. He backed this up in 2022 with 1605 runs @ 61.73 and 52 wickets @ 23.02. He came a 3rd time, with a much lighter schedule fixtures wise and the lack of cricket reflected his contributions with 534 runs and 30 wickets still solid but not what Hashen will have expected of himself, having set the bar very high in 21/22.

Hashen is seeking a return to the UK next summer and will be an increasingly popular choice through his consistent performance and proven track record.
