Hashim Ibrahim

Hashim Ibrahim is one of a number of bright young talents coming through the Lahire Blues system. A heavy-handed Batting All-Rounder, Hashim is a stroke-making, Right-handed top order Batsman that is a very capable Right-arm Leg Spinner that represents Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) alongside the Lahore Blues in the Pakistan domestic system.

A schoolboy prodigy, Hashim represented Lahore from the U16 level from the age of 14 for back-to-back PCB Pepsi Stars U16 National Tournaments (2015/2016) before playing high-level Men’s Cricket for Sabir’s Poultry in the PCB Patron’s Trophy in 20217-18 at still just 16 years old. He was predominantly a leg spinner through the youth system, finishing in the top 10 wicket takers at the 2016 tournament.

Having moved to Ghani Glass in the Grade II system, his performances continued to impress and in summer 2023-24, his opportunity for a long awaited debut came in October 2023 against Rawalpindi, scoring 69 & 9 before cracking his maiden First Class hundred in the next match, a patient 120 (266) in an opening partnership of 258 with Imran Butt as Lahore pursued Multan’s 718/8d.

White ball debuts across both formats quickly followed and he struck a quality 75 (90) against State Bank of Pakistan in October 2024 as they set a 379/4.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2025, Hashim will be an excellent signing for any UK club seeking a high class and upcoming young Batsman for the summer that can bowl better than useful Right-arm leg Spin. Hashim will be travelling with his wife and child.
