Henriette Ishimwe

Henriette is an exciting Rwandan cricketing talent. An all-rounder who plays for the Rwanda women’s national cricket team, Henriette is a capable middle order right-handed batter and outstanding right-arm medium-pace bowler. Her performances have led her to become the poster girl of Rwandan cricket and she is one of the most prolific wicket-takers in Womens International T20 cricket history.

At the time of writing, Henriette holds the world record for the most consecutive T20I matches played for a single team, 134 matches. But she made her mark as a youngster in the inaugural 2023 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. Henriette captured global headlines by taking four wickets in four consecutive balls or a “double” hat-trick to seal a historic victory against Zimbabwe.

Sitting comfortably in 3rd place on the all-time list of most wickets in Women’s T20 Internationals with 164 wickets (as at Sept 2026), she is trailing just behind global superstars Deepti Sharma and Thipatcha Putthawong. She was named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for March 2023 following a string of stellar performances for Rwanda.

Henriette was selected to play in the 2022 FairBreak Invitational T20 league in Dubai for the Barmy Army Women team, testing her skills against top global talent.

Seeking her first UK summer in 2027, Henriette will be an excellent pick for any club seeking a seam all-rounder for their Ladies side next season.
