Iain Carlisle

Iain Carlisle is one of Australian Cricket’s bright young fast bowling prospects. A right-arm Fast bowler, Iain also a capable Left-handed Middle/Lower order Batsman with a big hitting arc. Born in Canberra, Iain first stepped into Men’s Cricket for Campbelltown-Camden Ghosts, graded as a 14 year old for the Western Sydney Club.

He would go on to become a regular for various representative sides, including NSW U17, ACT U19 & impressively, the Australian U19 side at just 16 years old, such is the regard Iain was held in by the best judges of youth talent in Australia.

Always looking to expand his cricket horizons, an opportunity to join Tasmania on a rookie contract was too good to pass up after exceptional performances for the Cricket Australia XI. He is currently on a full Men’s contract at the Tigers and has been excellent for the Tasmanian 2nd XI in the Futures league competition but patiently awaits his first opportunity in the Sheffield Shield, which will come sooner rather than later should he continue to show his new ball prowess.

He’s dominated for North Hobart in the CTAS Premier Cricket competition, with 110+ wickets in the last 2 seasons across all formats and contributed with valuable lower order runs on a number of occasions.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2025, Iain will be an outstanding pick up for any club seeking a sharp new-ball bowler that is a better than useful lower order batsman that can hit the long ball. Iain holds a British Passport and is a Cricket Australia Level One coach.
