Ikramullah Khan is a skilful and experienced all-rounder, originally from Pakistan but now based, long-term, in Qatar. A clean-striking, left-handed middle order Batsman, Ikram’s stronger discipline is his canny and very effective new ball bowling, which has proved very effective across all formats but particularly in white-ball cricket.
Born in Punjab, Ikram represented Abbottabad across all three formats in the Pakistan domestic system prior to his move to Qatar. He left with a very credible record in both one-day and 4-day cricket, so it was no surprise to see him pop up some years later for Qatar once he had become eligible to represent his adopted home.
Since debuting for Qatar in T20I cricket, he’s been their go-to new ball strike weapon but also delivering exceptional economy. At the 2023 Asia Cup preliminaries, we bagged 7 wickets in 4 games and chipped in with a couple of handy knocks in the middle order but Qatar would return home winless.
Seeking his first season in the UK in 2024, Ikram will be an excellent pick up for a club seeking an experienced all-rounder keen to show what he can do in the UK and follow a number of other successful Associate cricketers that have shown they can do a sound job as professionals in the UK.
