Imraan Manack is an experienced spin-bowling all-rounder originally from Johannesburg, South Africa but now based in Paarl in the Western Cape. A tall, hard-hitting right-hander, Imraan has batted anywhere from opener to the lower middle order, such is his versatility. His dominant skillset is his Right-arm Off Spin, delivered with excellent economy, guile and a high release point. He is one of the leading white-ball spinners in the country.

A junior star, having represented Gauteng through the age groups alongside Internationals Quinton De Kock (SA) & our own Graham Hume (IRE), Imraan had a cracking start to his professional career as a 21-year-old, picking up 21 wickets @ 18.66 in his first senior domestic red-ball season in 2012-13. He maintained a presence in the First Class side, with limited success over the next couple of seasons before drifting into the cricket wilderness for a couple of years.

He returned to the fold in 2017-18 having re-imagined him as a very effective white-ball bowler and in late 2019 was selected for the Tshwane Spartans in the Mzansi Super League and also the Paarl Royals for the first edition of the SA20. He’s been a key contributor for Boland since his move west in 2021 and overall sees himself on the list of the most economical T20 bowlers in world cricket.

Imraan has had 3 trips to the UK throughout the course of his career with stints at Hornchurch CC (2017), Eckington CC (2019) & Horspath CC (2022) all of which had varied success with bat or ball or both. His first appearance in Essex yielded 489 runs @ 81.50 and 28 wickets @ 12.18, playing mostly 2nd XI for the powerhouse Hornchurch club. Eckington CC benefitted from his 477 runs @ 36.69 and 32 wickets @ 22.22 and in summer 2022, his Home Counties League return of 307 runs/16 wickets was solid.

Imraan returned in 2024, joining Bagnall Norton CC in the ECB North Staffs South Cheshire League, scoring 467 runs @ 29 and chiming in with 41 wickets @ 17.51 in an solid all-round performance.

A keen coach, Imraan holds a Cricket South Africa Level 2 coaching qualification (ECB Level 3 equivalent) and will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a strong spin-bowling allrounder for next summer. Imraan’s wife and little one will visit for a fortnight in the summer.
