Imthiyas Slaza

Imthiyas Slaza is an exciting spin-bowling all-rounder from Colombo. A hard-hitting Right-hander that is suited to the middle order with his attacking style, Imthiyas is a high class Right-arm Off Spinner that has been a long-term representative of Moors Sports Club for whom he has starred through the age groups and debuted for in First Class Cricket at the age of 19.

A graduate of Zahira College in Colombo, Imthiyas was a standout for the college, bagging 165 wickets for the 1st XI in just 38 appearances. His red-ball performances were something to behold, with 19 hauls of 4 wickets or more and 3 x 10-wicket hauls in 35 games. He was no mug with the bat either, scoring just shy of 1400 runs @ 26.

Still developing his game, Imthiyas has been a genuine all-round contributor for Moors and has plenty of upward curve, rated highly by a number of fellow WSX clients who have provided fair evaluations of the young spinners talent.

Seeking his first season in the UK in summer 2024, Imthiyas will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a genuine spin-bowling all-rounder that is eager to make his mark in the UK with his first overseas adventure.
