Muhammad Irfan Khan

Muhammad Irfan Khan is a highly-talented, young Pakistani all-round cricketer from Punjab. A gifted Right-Hander that generally slots in at No. 4, Irfan is also a handy Right-arm Medium/Fast seamer. He represented Pakistan at two ICC Under 19 World Cups in 2020 & 2022.

In September 2019, he was named in the newly formed Central Punjab squad for the 2019–20 domestic season. He was retained by Central Punjab for the 2020–21 domestic season. He made his Twenty20 debut on 30 September 2020, for Central Punjab in the 2020–21 National T20 Cup but for the most part has continued his development in the National 2nd XI competition.

He made his List A debut on 16 February 2020, for Pakistan Shaheens against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), during the MCC’s tour of Pakistan. Prior to his List A debut, he was named in Pakistan’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

In season 2021-22, Irfan was outstanding for Central Punjab, scoring 608 runs @ 46.76 in both 1 & 3-day formats scoring 6 half-centuries. In December 2021, he was named in Pakistan’s team for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies. Irfan scored a match winning 75 in the 2022 ICC U-19 world cup against Zimbabwe in Pakistan’s opening match.

In summer 2022, Irfan joined Lancaster CC in the ECB Northern Premier League, for a shorter than ideal stint but a very productive one. In his 19 appearances, Irfan scored 625 runs @ 39.06 and chimed in with 18 wickets @ 20.39. His highlight knock was without doubt a sensational 150* (71) in a T20 against Longridge CC which included 17 x Fours and 9 x sixes.

He returned in 2023, joining Golden Hill CC in the WEPL league and was outstanding, scoring 898 runs @ 74.83

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Irfan will be an excellent pick up for any club seeking a classy top/middle order Batsman for this summer.
