Jack is one of the brightest talents currently coming through the ranks in the first class system in New Zealand. Jack is contracted to the Canterbury Kings and after making his first class debut in the 2016/17 season has to date played 9 first class matches. From a first class cricketing family his father played 35 first class games for both Canterbury and Wellington and his Uncle played 69 games for Canterbury.
This season Jack was selected to play for a New Zealand XI to play the West Indies and Pakistan touring sides where he opened the batting, facing the like of World stars Mohammad Amir and Jason Holder. In 2015 Jack travelled over to the UK and played for Durham Academy and played games for the Durham 2nd XI side with excellent success.
He returned to the UK in 2018, joining Netherfield CC in the ECB Northern Premier League/ He put in a starring performance, scoring 1210 runs @ 50.42 with a best of 111*. Not a noted bowler, his off-spin came in more than handy, picking up 29 wickets @ 24.00 with a best of 4-8. Jack returned to the UK in 2019, joining the scenic Gt Witchingham CC for their ECB East Anglian Premier League chase. Finishing mid-table, Jack had a stop-start summer with the bat but finished well, scoring two fifty’s and a ton in his last 6 innings to finish with 680 runs @ 32.38, his best of 116 coming in his final game.
Jack returned in 2022, linking with Surrey Championship powerhouse, Wimbledon CC. 773 runs and 20 wickets in one of the best leagues in the country helped the club enroute to the Championship title. He returned in 2023 and was excellent, scoring 1254 runs @ 52.25 across all formats for the powerhouse club. Jack returned in 2024 to captain the club and was outstanding, scoring 949 runs @ 52.72 and the club finishing top 3.
He is keen to return to the UK next summer and is looking to join a progressive club offering a high standard of cricket closer to London. Jack will be an excellent pick up for a club seeking a top-order gun next summer.
