Jason Niemand

Jason Niemand is a high-quality all-round Cricketer from South Africa’s Eastern Cape region. A patient right-handed Top Order Batsman, Jason is also a very capable right-arm Off Spinner. A junior star, Jason was a regular for his native Border Province throughout the age groups, appearing for them at two editions of the prestigious Khaya Majola Coke Week. He also represented the Warriors Franchise Cubs.

By the time Jason was selected for South Africa at Under 19 level, he had already made a number of appearances for the Border Province at 18 and by 23, was captain of the Province. He’s gone on to become a very experienced domestic stalwart, clocking up over 80 professional matches, excelling in the one day format.

Jason ventured to the UK for the first time in 2018, signing for Rolleston CC in the ECB Derbyshire League, scoring 569 runs and jagging 26 wickets. He returned in 2022, joining Exmouth CC in the ECB Devon A Division, helping secure promotion to the Premier Division, having pumped out 1088 runs and taking 21 wickets. He returned in 2023, scoring 520 runs @ 37 and chiming in with 26 wickets @ 19.85.

Summer 2024 saw a 3rd Exmouth stint, with 447 runs & 21 wickets taking his club tally to 2000+ runs and 65+ wickets in 3 seasons.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Jason will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a genuine all-rounder that has a good UK record and is a good guy to have around the club.
