Jono Low

Jonathan Low is a positive and adaptable middle-order batter with seven seasons of Premier Cricket experience in Auckland. Throughout his time at Premier level, he has developed into a confident batting all-rounder, having originally started his career as an off-spinner before switching his focus towards batting. A stroke-making Right Hander, he takes pride in his aggressive and positive style and looks to put pressure back on the opposition, particularly in the middle and latter stages of an innings.

Leadership has been a major part of his cricket journey to date, having been involved in the leadership group at his club. Having captained the T20 side for the past five seasons, he has lead the One Day side for two seasons. During this time, he has gained valuable experience managing different personalities, making decisions under pressure and helping create a positive and competitive team environment. The T20 side has had four finals appearances in five years in the Auckland competition under his leadership.

T20 has been his dominant discipline over the past five seasons, having averaged 45 at a strike rate of 145+. He has also had experience representing Auckland A during this time, which has given him the opportunity to compete against high-level players and further develop his game. A confident and reliable fielder, he has a safe pair of hands and takes pride in contributing in all areas of the game.

Looking to take the next step in his cricket career, Jono seeks to head to the UK for the first time in 2027, making use of his UK passport and not only playing cricket but taking on some supply teaching in the week.
