Josphine Nkomo

Josphine Nkomo is a talented all-rounder currently playing for Midwest Rhinos Women and a regular of the Zimbabwe Women’s team. A very capable right-handed middle order batter, Josphine is an economical right-arm medium pace seamer that has represented Zimbabwe on 50+ occasions.

Having debuted for her franchise team, Centrals in April 2009, when she was only 11 years old, it was a fait accompli that she would make the Zimbabwe U19 national team at some stage but by 15 years old, Josphine was a regular in the National side and has gone on to become an integral part of the National Womens set up.

Having excelled in T20 Cricket in particular, Josphine was been outstanding at international level with particularly impressive performances with the ball, averaging 15.03 with the ball and economy under 5’s in the short-format.

Josphine has also enjoyed success abroad, playing Women’s club cricket in South Africa for Randburg and successful back-to-back stints with Northern England powerhouse, South Northumberland CC in 2022 & 2023. her two previous english summers yielded 460 runs @ 32.86 & 44 wickets @ 17.70. She returned to the North East in 2024, linking with South Shields CC and also playing for Percy Main CC.

An ECB Core coach qualified coach, Josphine will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a genuine all-rounder for their Ladies team next summer.
