JP King is an enigmatic and belligerent batting talent from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. A hard-hitting right-hander, JP can bat anywhere in the order, he is also a very capable Right-arm off Spinner. He first appeared for North West whilst studying at PUKKE but took his first major contract with his home franchise, the Warriors, ahead of the 2023-24 summer.
A brutal right-hander with a very long hitting arc, he had been a tormentor of bowlers through the Colts system and on his elevation to the big time with the Warriors, he continued to exhibit his hitting prowess, making himself a regular selection in the white-ball team.
A better than useful off-spinner, JP bowls with excellent control of line and length rather than relying on major turn and has been particularly effective in the early overs of white-ball cricket.
Seeking his first season in the UK in 2025, JP is sure to be a very popular pick for UK clubs seeking a high-quality batter/spinner for next summer.
