Justin is a highly promising Right-hander from Cape Town in South Africa. A talented all-round sportsman, Justin represented the school in Hockey, Golf, Tennis, Rugby as well as Cricket. He went on to represent the province in Cricket as well as Hockey and Golf at age group levels, quite impressive. However, as Justin matured, Cricket became a significant focus for him, especially with him attending Rondebosch Boys High School, a renowned Cricket school, not just in the Western Cape but nationally.

Having excelled through the U14/U15 age groups at school, he was selected to represent Western Province at the National U15 week and dominated. Finishing as the competitions 2nd highest run scorer. He backed this performance up with a quality National U17 week, where he was the also again in the top 5 for runs scored.

His success is credited by his coaches to his dedication to his own game and a tremendous work ethic. These attributes have seen the young man not only debut for the school’s 1st XI as 15 year old and represent his province but to represent his province playing above his age. In 2017-18, he was selected to play for the Cape Cobras Franchise Cubs side at the National Cubs week, seeing him compete amongst the most promising 66 players in the country despite being just 17.

Justin made his first appearance in UK club cricket in 2019, joining Bury St Edmunds CC in the ECB East Anglian Premier League. After a steady start, Justin’s season got going on an outstanding T20 day at Frinton-on-Sea, scoring 102* v Copdock & OI CC then followed this up with 94 in a losing cause against winners, Sudbury CC. He returned for the shortened 2020 summer, re-joining Bury St Edmunds CC.

By summer 2021, an opportunity to link with Surrey CCC arose and Justin sought a Premier League club local to him and landed with Esher CC, scoring 879 runs in all competitions and chipping in with 30 wickets with his improved seam-bowling. He backed this up in 2022 with even better numbers on his return to Surrey. Not only did he score 1252 runs @ 54.43 for the club, he bagged 46 wickets @ 19.91, an excellent all-round return.

He was outstanding for the Surrey 2nd XI as well, with 822 runs @ 48.35 and 11 sticks @ 18.13 across all formats for the County.

Seeking another season in the UK next summer, Justin seeks to play in the best possible Premier League standard that he can next summer. This young man will be a popular choice with Premier League clubs seeking to bolster their batting ranks.
